Created Issue: BUG in DiscoverAllDevices() - Missing Marshal.FreeHGlobal() [14090]

There is a bug in ServiceAndDeviceDiscovery.BluetoothDeviceServicesManager.DiscoverAllDevices()

The "while (0 == result)" loop should contain the following line at the end of the loop:

Marshal.FreeHGlobal(bufferPtr);

I have seen instances where you eventually run out of memory when calling this method a lot.

This Is Annoying Me Every Time I Start up Visual Studio it takes ages to load b/c this tool kist reloads the items to toolkit at startup! but it doesn't add just 1 of each item it adds like 4-5 of each item! FIX IT PLZ!

The same for me. Even in C#. For a temporary solution I created a more tabs like C4F_Vista APIs, C4F_Utilities and added controls to them. Then I ignored the use of C4F - Utilities , etc, etc tabs.

I am seeing the same issue. Every time I open Visual Basic Express 2008, it adds a complete set of controls in each toolbox Tab. Even if I delete all the items except for 1 complete set of controls, close VB Xpress and re-open, it doubles.

How do I know that a user who pick up the phone call?
1) if(call.CallState == CallState.Connect)
it's true in any situation, even if the call is even, ie the user does not take the tube
2) if(call.CallState == CallState.Idle) no work :( if users take the tube

Created Issue: Can't install C4DevKit

After I agree to the EULA, I click install and I just get a dialog saying "Please wait while the installer finishes determining your disk space requirements" with a button "Return". I cannot get past this no matter how long I wait. Screen dump attached.

i have noticed that the C4F tools appear to be re-added to my development tool bar everytime i restart the Visual Studio C# Express IDE. i have deleted them earlier today but they have now returned. Approximately 4 duplicates entries of the tools appear in succession which is the number of times i have started the IDE this afternoon.
This duplication is appearing under all C4F headings - Communication - Vista API's - Utilities
Can you advise how to stop this please ?
If anyone else has reported this but i have missed it please accept my apologies.

Im having exactly the same problem.

Each time I start VS or VB express a new set of controls is added to the toolbox. Im getting a little tired of having to delete them everytime now.

Anyone had any luck with getting this sorted?

Created Issue: VSXTester has stopped working

Vista x64 with all updates installed. Only Visual Basic Express Installed. Start C4F Dashboard (both as administrator and regularly) then try to run Web Services, Run App and get the error "VSXTester has stopped working" As a work around you can choose "browse" and run C4F Developer Kit2008/Web Services/Samples/vb/C4F.DevKit.WebServicesDemo.vbproj -- which works just fine

Please fix?

Those people (including me) who had issues installing the beta version are also having trouble uninstalling it. The new version cannot be installed until the beta is uninstalled. More details were already posted under the closed install issue tracker discussion. Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same difficulty trying to uninstall the failed beta install. The new version complains its already installed and must be uninstalled adn the uninstall routine goes part way through and then says a package run as part of the installation has failed contact package vendor. Any Ideas so that I can get rid of the beta and try out the latest version? the tip above did nothing for me.

after a failed install of the dash board i keep getting the error
" later version of ${var.productshortname} is already installed "
whenever i try to reinstall it. The normal repair and uninstall options dont show up it just starts as though it is a new installation.

Im guessing its something in the registry that needs changing (unless theres anyother way anybody knows) does anyone know what the coding4fun shows up as in the registry ?

open command prompt change to the directory where the c4fdevkit.msi is installed and type in "start C4FDevKit.msi" if that doesnt right click the command prompt and run it as adminstrator

Great job on beta code that doesn't install on VISTA. Sweet. Errors out as the command window comes up (says it's installing on the .NET 2.0 framework). Do you see the problem folks?

The screen shot i've provided is actually of the uninstallation but the same error comes up for the installation. All the files did get installed/created despite the error but now it won't uninstall. And yes the CMD window flashes up but I didn't see it either.
